Lisbeth Thomsen visited the UK last week, meeting with many charities and businesses to discuss co-operation with DAPP's projects in Malawi.

Planet Aid UK has started fabrication of the small community clothing bank. The bank will have a new more secure locking system.
Planet Aid UK will use the bank at our own sites and also sell this good little bank to other collectors.

On the 10th of June Crusaid invited Planet Aid UK to join them for a 10km sponsored walk in London. More than 3000 people walked through London to raise funds for those infected by HIV and AIDS in UK and Africa.

Once upon a time we, the Development Instructors of Planet Aid UK decided to go for a trip somewhere in The United Kingdom within the confines of Survival Weekend. So we got hold of the map and chose the beautiful land of Wales.

Planet Aid UK, the British member of Humana People to People, is looking for more volunteers to become a ‘Development Instructor' for the organisation, including six months volunteering in Africa.

Volunteers on the street in Sheffield and Hull raised funds for ‘Academy for Working Children', with £800 raised in total.

We hereby invite you to join an international effort bringing computers to teacher training colleges in Southern Africa. The teacher training colleges educate teachers to work in the primary school in rural areas.

Planet Aid UK installs clothes banks at supermarkets, and 'smaller' sites, near local post offices, pubs, schools and shopping parades easy to use for the public.

Planet Aid UK's first team of 4 people have started their 2 year leadership course.
Two people from Hungary,one from Estonia and one from Slovakia will take part in the course. A former Development Instructor in Malawi has joined them as their leader.
