Development Aid from People to People UK - DAPP UK
Planet Aid UK is the recognised operator working on behalf of DAPP UK and is directly responsible for the maintenance of all clothing banks displaying the name of the charity. This includes the supply, delivery, emptying and refurbishment of all containers, and Planet Aid UK has an agreement, similar to many other UK operators, through which they are required to pay a royalty to the charity for the use of their name. In 2008 DAPP UK opened two charity shops, one in Northampton and another in Warrington and it is currently actively involved in supporting the following projects:

•    The education of orphans at the Children’s Town in Zambia (implemented by DAPP Zambia)
•    The education of slum children at the Academy for Working Children in India (implemented by Humana People to People India)
•    Education in Malawi by supplying donated books to DAPP Malawi’s educational institutions.

Planet Aid UK agreed with DAPP UK to supply their shops with good quality, fashionable clothes and approximately 700-1,500 items are donated every week.
