Huntingdonshire District Council

Container at a site in HuntingdonFor many years Planet Aid UK has collected clothes and shoes from private sites within the Huntingdonshire district  and in April 2016 we partnered with Huntingdonshire District Council to increase the number of clothing banks in the area providing residents with more places to recycle their unwanted clothing and textiles.
We currently provide over twenty clothing banks placed on private sites within the district, as well as collecting from a further twenty on Council Bring Bank sites offering a comprehensive and efficient service to the local residents. Cllr Robin Carter, whose executive responsibilities include Operations, said:

"We are really pleased to offer residents a service where they can recycle their textiles throughout the district. Textiles are one of the main reasons residents have their blue bins rejected, so I would encourage you to take your textiles to one of these recycling banks."..

If you are a resident within the Huntingdonshire District Council area and would like to report a full Planet Aid UK clothing bank, or to find out the location of one nearest to you, then please call us on 01536-400721.
