The Present

Humana People to People members activities worldwide

‘The Federation of Associations connected to The International Humana People to People Movement’ is the full name of what we call ‘Humana People to People' in our daily work.
Humana People to People has placed itself on the frontline of development. Being a part of civil society in many countries in good times as in bad has earned the organisations a solid reputation of seriousness in the development work among people, within the governments and in national and international organisations alike. The Humana People to People organisations have extensive experience in implementing development programmes of many different kinds and under difficult conditions.
The combined efforts of Humana People to People organisations in Europe and North America and those of Africa, Asia and Latin America have resulted in more than 1000 development projects, encompassing health, education and food security. They involve 16 million people and have 16,000 employees. In addition to this, 13.2 million people buy clothes from the second hand clothes trade which is an important fundraising activity both in the north and in the south.
Humana People to People built its HQ in the rural area of Zimbabwe in 1998. From here a team of European and African staff serve the different country associations with advice and training.
